Circular economy roadmap under the new Government: progress and challenges for the next four-year term
“A space where waste becomes opportunity. Innovation, business and real solutions to drive the circular economy in construction and build more sustainable cities.”
Pavilion Q · 240 m² · August 26–29, 2026 · Plaza Mayor, Medellín
A challenge that is also an opportunity
Colombia generates more than 40 million tons of construction waste every year — an environmental challenge that also represents a great opportunity for innovation and competitiveness in the industry.
From August 26–29, 2026, ExpoCAMACOL will feature the Circular Economy Experience Center, a 240 m² space designed to showcase solutions, technologies and business models that are turning waste into new resources and value opportunities. Through immersive experiences, success stories, talks and networking spaces, it will connect companies, entrepreneurs, academia and the public sector to drive more efficient, productive and sustainable construction. It will also demonstrate how the circular economy can generate significant savings, reduce environmental impacts and help cities move toward a model where waste stops being a problem and becomes an opportunity.
An initiative led by Camacol Antioquia and its sustainability strategy, Camacol Verde, together with its strategic partners to accelerate the transition toward more circular construction in Colombia.
