Jardín Botánico Joaquín Antonio Uribe

The botanical Garden has an area of 14 hectares. It has an important orchid collection, all placed in a special location called “orchideoram”, an architectonical scenery for flower exhibitions. The garden is also a cultural and educational center with an extraordinary botanical richness, which include more than 1,000 live species and 4,500 beings.
Museo de Antioquia

It is one of the most important and recognized museums in Medellin. It was founded in 1881, the second Colombian museum. It has the biggest collection of Fernando Botero’s art work; it has 17 permanent exhibition rooms and 1 room for non-permanent exhibitions.

It’s a good option to get in touch with art. It was founded in 1980; it has a special collection of Colombian artist Debora Arango. In November 2009 the Museum changed for a new and better conditioned location, with 2,900 sq. meters, four exhibition rooms, a Modern Art Museum shop and a restaurant.

Placed near Plaza Mayor exhibition site, headquarters for EXPOCAMACOL, Los Pies Descalzos Park offers a place for outdoor activities; near it you will find the EPM (Medellin Public Enterprise) Interactive museum; it is a place for learning while having fun, or just hanging out while enjoying a good meal in its restaurants.

It is an interactive park for science and technology; it has more than 22,000 square meters of area and more than 15,000 sq. meters of public spaces. It offers more than 300 interactive experiences, an auditorium for 3D movies, a television set, experimental activities and non-permanent exhibitions. At the same time it has an aquarium with 400 river and ocean species; a place called “Vivario” with 16 species of reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids. Besides being a science and technology interactive center, it is also a zoo.

Opened on March 3rd, 1978 it is the representation of a typical 20th century village. It was built on top of Nutibara Hill, which is 80 meters high and offers an incredible view of the city.
